Mayor of Dorchester candidates come to the parade committee meeting and declare they are running for the honorary office. The funds raise help with this years parade. The parade committee meets at the Comfort Inn on 900 Morrissey Blvd.

The Massachusetts Studies Project takes a 3-sided approach to accessing and preserving historic family treasures. They hold public scanning events, our partners in the New England Archivists "Archives on the Road" program provide preservation education and materials for contributors, and they provide access to these priceless documents through an online database. Bring 1-3 photographs showing your family's early days in Dorchester to the Dorchester Historical Society for scanning.
